NutriGuide Privacy Policy

NutriGuide ("we", "our", or "the app") is an AI-powered nutrition companion. This policy explains what data the app collects, how it is used, and your choices.

1. Information We Collect

NutriGuide collects the following information that you voluntarily provide during onboarding and in your profile:

• Display name and email address
• Health-related preferences: dietary style, allergies, fitness goals
• Body statistics: weight, height, body type, activity level
• Chat messages sent to the AI nutrition assistant

This data is stored locally on your device using shared preferences. We do not maintain a user account system or store your data on our servers.

2. AI Chat Service

When you use the AI chat feature, your messages and profile context are sent to a third-party AI service (Anthropic's Claude API) to generate responses. These messages are processed according to Anthropic's usage policies. We do not store chat history on any server — conversations exist only in your current app session.

3. Advertising

NutriGuide uses Google AdMob to display advertisements, including banner ads and rewarded video ads. AdMob may collect and use device identifiers, IP addresses, and usage data to serve ads. For users in the European Economic Area (EEA), a consent dialog is shown before personalized ads are served.

4. Data Sharing

We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information. Data may be shared with:

• Anthropic (Claude API) — chat messages for AI response generation
• Google AdMob — device-level identifiers for ad serving

5. Data Storage and Security

All personal data (name, preferences, body stats) is stored locally on your device. No user accounts are created and no personal data is transmitted to our servers. Uninstalling the app removes all locally stored data.

6. Children's Privacy

NutriGuide is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

7. Your Choices

• You can update or delete your profile data at any time in the app's Profile screen.
• You can reset ad personalization preferences in your device's Google settings.
• Uninstalling the app removes all locally stored data.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected by updating the effective date at the top of this page.
